Jerry Jones’ family announces $10M donation to Clinton library
By Andrew DeMillo
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and his family announced Monday they are donating $10 million toward the renovation and modernization of former President Bill Clinton’s library and museum in Little Rock.
Jones announced the gift to the Clinton Foundation as he appeared with the 42nd president at the Little Rock Touchdown Club.
“Being able to now grow and combine my long-standing love and support for the University of Arkansas and Razorback athletics, while supporting the important growth, evolution and opportunities the Clinton Presidential Center creates is something I personally cherish and our family is exceedingly grateful for,” Jones said in a news release.
The Clinton Presidential Center, which houses a museum and the former president’s archives, opened on the outskirts of downtown Little Rock in 2004. Library officials in 2024 announced an expansion of the center, which will include Hillary Clinton’s personal archives. The expansion will include a renovation of the Clinton-Gore administration gallery, and a new archive dedicated to Hillary Clinton’s lifetime of service.
Plans also call for redesigning the 50-acre park where the library is located to create more gathering space.
More than 5.5 million people have visited the Clinton library since it opened, and the facility remains a major draw for the city. A 2025 study credited the library for having a $4.9 billion impact on the Little Rock and North Little Rock areas. The campus includes the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service.
Clinton praised Jones as an “American sports icon.”
“I am deeply grateful for his dedication to our beloved home state of Arkansas, and proud to stand alongside him in accepting this gift,” Clinton said. “The Jones Family’s generosity will support the Clinton Presidential Center’s work as a hub for education, service, and bipartisan dialogue for many years to come.”
