Arkansas Symphony Orchestra brings Halloween to life
Little Rock, AR - The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra (ASO) is turning up the thrills, chills and theatrical magic with “Halloween Spooktacular,” featuring live orchestral music, circus acts, dance, vocal performances and a costume parade at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at the Robinson Center.
This season’s first Pops concert features some of the most exciting, mysterious and mischievous music ever written for the stage and screen, including Modest Mussorgsky’s “Night on Bald Mountain,” Danny Elfman’s “Beetlejuice Suite,” selections from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera,” the beloved “Monster Mash,” “Golden” from “K-Pop Demon Hunters,” Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Lacrimosa,” John Williams’ “Devil’s Dance” from “The Witches of Eastwick,” and music from “Young Frankenstein” and “Swan Lake.” “‘Halloween Spooktacular’ is our biggest, wildest Pops opener yet — circus performers soaring through the air, dancers in full costume, a chorus that will send chills down your spine, and music from ‘Beetlejuice’ to ‘Swan Lake,’” ASO Music Director Geoffrey Robson said.
